Made with Authenticity

OUR HISTORY

Barrio Queen was established in 2011 when we first opened our doors in Old Town Scottsdale, Arizona. Our food pays homage to history and culture by serving fresh, authentic Mexican cuisine using traditional recipes from barrios throughout Mexico. We believe in supporting our community by using locally sourced, fresh ingredients in our dishes. Our food creates taste-craving memories that linger after you leave. Inside our locations, the Día de los Muertos decor creates an energetic and social atmosphere that allows you to detach and enjoy your unique, memorable dining experience.

OUR FOOD

Our flavor profiles are second to none because we are committed to authenticity. Guests will never find “Americanized” food on our menus, like hard-shell tortillas, taquitos and chimichangas. Instead, every page is full of recipes rooted in the rich history of Mexico’s vibrant barrios (“neighborhoods”). Those traditional flavors are made possible by using only fresh, quality ingredients from local farmers. From open to close, our menu is the same; guests are never forced to compromise for visiting us earlier than others, and every visitor is served complimentary mouthwatering salsa and homemade chips, each made from scratch every day.

Our Restaurants

Barrio Queen’s guests come for the food and stay for the culture. Our welcoming, friendly employees make everyone who passes through our doors feel like family. We do not take reservations, assuring our guests tables when they visit. Most of our restaurants have a separate “tequila room” that can be used for parties, and we frequently serve as the home for our guests’ fiestas. Year-round patios are available to enjoy the outdoors for all occasions. Our décor is based on Día de Los Muertos, the day of the dead, and immerses our guests in its ambiance with gorgeous, original murals painted by a renowned, local artist. From the attitude of our staff to the art on our walls, our guests know to expect genuine excellence at Barrio Queen.
